Careers Guidance and Ofsted Framework
In December 2017, the government published its Careers Strategy and established Careers Hubs as a key part of their plans to improve careers provision throughout England.
From September 2019, Ofsted implemented a new Education Inspection Framework, which they use to conduct all inspections of secondary, PRU, special school, further education colleges and sixth form provision.
With regards to careers education, the Careers and Enterprise Company have created an Education Inspection Framework Guide to help your educational facility to support preparation for any Ofsted inspections. It’s also helpful for Enterprise Advisers and school governors, providing questions and prompts to help support strategic careers planning.
