About Us

About the Careers and Skills Portal

The Careers and Skills Portal, in partnership with the Gloucestershire Careers Hub, links business with education to provide first-class careers education support and information about opportunities to people throughout the county.

As part of our remit, we support local schools and colleges, who work together with employers, universities, training providers and careers professionals to improve careers education for young people across the county.

We also provide resources for schools and for jobseekers in search of new opportunities and individuals who are looking to learn, train or start new businesses. Many of our resources are also helpful for employers who are looking to upskill existing staff or grow their business.

What people say

Our events and support services have received fantastic feedback from both educational facilities and local employers alike – find out what they had to say.

Thank you for putting us onto St James's Place. They have contributed so much to our Post-16 students and given them a regular presentation each week, which has reinforced the work they do in 'Employability' lessons.

Rachel Dickinson

Careers Leader, Alderman Knight School

It is a pleasure to work with everyone at GFirst LEP and I’m looking forward to seeing how much more we can do together over the coming year. I think the Careers Hub will be an excellent opportunity to elevate the work going on across Gloucestershire and I’m sure we will be celebrating your achievements in the months to come.

Clare Hutchinson

The Careers Hub team are ready to help us find solutions and help us develop strategies that meet the Gatsby Benchmarks within our context, which is very different to most school provision.

Aileen Clough
