Hobbs House Bakery Supporting Local Schools
School News
8 April 2021
Once again, local businesses are supporting our Gloucestershire schools even though restrictions are still in place meaning that off-site activity and on-site visits can’t occur.
Hobbs House Bakery in Nailsworth has kindly provided three Discovery Boxes to three local Special Schools - The Shrubberies School, St Roses’s School and Paternoster School.
These boxes, containing items such as small pot of yeast, a bag of flour, wax bread bag, dough scraper, drawstring bread bag and a wooden panibois, have helped students to learn about the bakery and about the skills that those who work there require.
The Shrubberies School students had a go at making their own bread using the resources provided by Hobbs House Bakery and we have been reliably informed that the end result came out well!
Well done to all involved and thank you again to Hobbs House Bakery for the Discovery Boxes.
If you are a local Gloucestershire business and can support in a similar way, please get in touch with Lauren Greening on lauren.greening@gfirstlep.com. Thank you.
